Welcome message
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
On behalf of the Organizing and Scientific Committees, it is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 3rd International Symposium on “Prognostic and Therapeutic Implications of RKIP and YY1 in Cancer, Diabetes and Cardiovascular Diseases”, which will take place in Nicosia, Cyprus, from 16–18 April 2027.
Building on the success of the previous joint symposia, which brought together leading scientists working on RKIP and YY1, this third meeting aims to further strengthen our international research community and promote scientific excellence, collaboration, and innovation. The symposium will provide a unique forum for the exchange of cutting-edge discoveries on the biological and clinical significance of Raf Kinase Inhibitory Protein (RKIP) and Yin Yang 1 (YY1), two pivotal regulators implicated in cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, inflammation, and other chronic disorders.
Cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and diabetes continue to represent major global health challenges. Increasing evidence demonstrates that these conditions share common molecular mechanisms and signalling pathways, many of which are influenced by RKIP and YY1. Understanding the complex interplay between these molecules is crucial for the development of novel diagnostic, prognostic, and therapeutic strategies. The symposium will showcase recent advances in fundamental, translational, and clinical research, highlighting new opportunities for targeted interventions and precision medicine.
The scientific programme will feature keynote lectures by internationally renowned experts, invited talks, panel discussions, young investigator presentations, and poster sessions. In addition to exploring the latest breakthroughs in RKIP and YY1 biology, the meeting will foster interdisciplinary collaborations and encourage dialogue among established investigators, clinicians, industry representatives, and early-career researchers.
Beyond the scientific sessions, we invite you to experience the rich history, culture, and hospitality of Cyprus. As one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, Nicosia offers a unique blend of ancient heritage and modern innovation, providing an inspiring setting for scientific exchange and networking.
We sincerely thank all participants, speakers, sponsors, and supporters for contributing to this important scientific gathering. We look forward to welcoming you to Nicosia for what promises to be an exciting and memorable symposium.
With our warmest regards,
